Hey, I'm Mark.

Heres more info than you ever wanted to know.

I was born and raised in Elgin, IL and graduated from Larkin High School where I played in all the bands and swam all four years. I was on the math team, member of NHS, and an eagle scout. Yes. Big loser I am.

Went to NIU for two years where I was trying to be a music major, but never made it into the program, and didn't go to classes, and got kicked out. While at NIU, I continued to play euphonium in the University Band, pep bands, marching band, and other little things. I played for the NIU ultimate frisbee team my freshman year and started playing footbag net. The marching band let me stay and march for the last two years that I was not at NIU and I was the manager as well (paying position)

I also met Betsy second semester and started going out with her in June of 2001. We now live together in our own house in Dekalb, she graduated from NIU with a degree in Elementary Education. We have to cats that Betsy rescued from under a car in the parking lot of the house we used to live in with 5 other musicians in Dekalb.

While at that house, I attended Kishwaukee Community College on and off and worked. Since Jan. 2004, I have worked at Castle Bank here in Dekalb as a proof operator. I basically make sure all the transactions balance out and encode them on the bottom with my giant adding machine so they go to chicago and money gets transferred from your accounts correctly. I also have been working for a couple years at the Corner Bakery in Geneva and work weekends now so I can have health insurance. In the past I also built decks with my dad for 4 or 5 years, worked in a candy store with Betsy, worked in the toy department at Meijer, and a few other odds and ends. All in all I think I've had 12 jobs. I'm very handy and like to tinker with things. I built the bed in our house and am getting to be quite the cat-stand designer.

RIght now, I attend Elgin Community College and am taking classes to receive my Associate of Fine Arts-music performance emphasis in May of 2006. Then I'll return to NIU and finish off the Bachelor of Music degree. I play with the Elgin Youth Symphony Orchestra's Brass Choir and enjoy life as much as I can.
